Boston – For the sixth consecutive year, the El Mundo Hispanic Heritage Breakfast provided just the right amount of humor, light-hearted banter and special honors to make this special celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month one that will surely keep growing.
The fun was kicked off by Governor Charlie Baker, who showed off his comical side at the event and was quickly followed by similar presentations from Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Boston City Councilor Tito Jackson – always a crowd favorite – Marcela García, Boston Globe Editorial and Opinion Writer and Gerald Francis, General Manager Keolis Commuter Services.
Among all the great humor, the unanimous standout was Sindy Espinosa, News Producer/Anchor at Noticias Univision Nueva Inglaterra and Baltazar, Morning Show Personality.
Also recognized were Jorge Quiroga, with the Lifetime Achievement Award; Milagros Para Niños for the many outstanding community partnerships with El Mundo, and as Corporate Partner of the year MassDot for their support as major supporter of El Mundo’s signature events in 2015.
