Whittier Street Health Center (Whittier) President and CEO Frederica Williams was honored with the Susan Wornick and Myrna Billian Community Leadership Award for her unwavering dedication and leadership in the community through her work at Whittier. The award was presented on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology for the I Remember Mama brunch, an annual event to honor local mothers.

The Susan Wornick and Myrna Billian Community Leadership Award was created in 2012 by Volunteers of America Massachusetts to honor WCVB Channel 5 Anchor, Susan Wornick, and her mother Myrna Billian for their commitment to the community.

Williams has dedicated her career to transforming Whittier into one of Greater Boston’s largest community health centers serving 25,000 patients each year and providing free and affordable health care to underserved populations in Greater Boston including Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain, and the South End.
