US Senate Candidate Ed Markey Hosts Latinos

Group Shot: Congressman Ed Markey, Democrat for U.S. Senate hosts a Latino Leadership Council in Charlestown to discuss the important role Latinos will play in this election.

On Saturday, April 13th Congressman Ed Markey, Democrat for U.S. Senate, hosted a Latino Leadership Council in his campaign headquarters in Charlestown (465 Medford Street)  to discuss the important role Latinos will play in this election.

Amaad Rivera, Director, Latino Vote for Ed Markey for US Senate and Lydia Vega, Latino and New Americans Vote Coordinator for the campaign, offered welcoming remarks as those in attendance also included Latino supporters from Springfield and Worcester via phone conferencing. The luncheon included over 100 community activists, members of the Latino media and State Representative Marcos Devers of Lawrence who presented Markey, who was accompanied by his wife Dr. Susan Blumenthal.
