  • Boston’s premiere event honoring Hispanic Heritage brings diverse leaders together for lighthearted – often hilarious – commentary while recognizing Individuals that make our local Latino community truly special.

September 20, 2024 – The highly anticipated El Mundo Boston Hispanic Heritage Breakfast will bring the region’s most influential leaders together to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. 

This annual tradition in Boston brings together a diverse range of thought leaders from the private and public sectors in a joyous setting that features a unique format that includes humor, fun, and substance.

The Hispanic Heritage Breakfast is the “must attend” event of the month, as the top elected leaders in Massachusetts engage in lighthearted – and often hilarious – commentary on the Latino community, its contributions to the city and state, and their many lovable quirks.

The 2024 El Mundo Boston Hispanic Heritage Breakfast takes place Friday, September 20th from 7:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and is dedicated to local Latino law enforcement officers and veterans.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu,  Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox, and Massachusetts Veterans Secretary Jon Santiago will be among more than 600 guests attending this sold-out event.

Honoring Latino Veterans and ou Latino Law Enforcement Officers

  • Greater Boston’s only event of its kind honoring Hispanic heritage will be dedicated to local Latino law enforcement and veterans, the many men and women of diverse backgrounds who have proudly served – our veterans of war.

The 2024 Hispanic Heritage Breakfast Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Antonio “Tony” Molina, a Purple Heart recipient and former Marine who served in Vietnam.

Tony is currently serving as President of the Veterans Association of Massachusetts and is a recognized trailblazer and leader in the community.

Tony has been very active in the community since arriving in Boston back in 1965 and has been President of the annual Puerto Rican Festival and is a pioneer in Boston Spanish radio.

El Mundo Boston will also honor the Latino Law Enforcement Group of Boston (LLEGO) with the Community Partner of the Year award.  LLEGO Boston is composed of several hundred members that include Boston Police, Boston Fire, Corrections Officers and security officers at colleges and universities who have performed exceptional volunteer work in the community. Honoring Latino Veterans and ou Latino Law Enforcement Officers

LLEGO Boston has a mission to promote community policing, engage with the community, and encourage young people to consider law enforcement as a career.

At this year’s event, Cambridge Savings Bank will be recognized as El Mundo Boston’s Corporate Partner of the Year. Sitting at this year’s head table will be Ryan Bailey, the bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer  who will accept the award.

In the past year, Cambridge Savings Bank has supported El Mundo Boston’s initiatives at the highest possible levels.

Whether it was being a principal recruiter at the Latino Career Expo, or the presenting partner at the Boston Latino Small Business Summit or being  a supporter of the groundbreaking Mental Health Wednesdays on «La Hora Del Café» –  Cambridge Savings Bank was all in!

Cambridge Savings Bank was also a big hit at this year’s Latino Family Festival at Fenway Park and one of our generous and fun Santa’s helpers during our Twelve Days of Christmas shows on «La Hora Del Café».
