Global superstar Karol G has ventured into the spirits industry with «200 Copas by Casa Dragones,» a collaboration that represents far more than a celebrity tequila launch. It’s a powerful alliance between two groundbreaking Latina entrepreneurs who have redefined success in their respective industries.

The partnership unites Karol G with Bertha González Nieves, co-founder of Casa Dragones and the first woman recognized as a Maestra Tequilera. This collaboration extends Karol G’s long-standing commitment to Latina empowerment, which goes far beyond her musical career.

Through her Con Cora Foundation, established to continue Karol G’s social work and mission of empowering girls and women to achieve their dreams, the Colombian superstar has created sustainable programs supporting women heads of household, at-risk youth, children with chronic illnesses, adolescent mothers, and individuals facing vulnerable conditions across Colombia and Latin America.

Most recently, Karol G expanded this mission to the United States with the Con Cora Foundation’s newest initiative, LATINA PWR for Leadership, a groundbreaking program designed to empower the next generation of Latina leaders in the United States.

«When I met Karol, I immediately resonated with her story—a powerful Latina woman making her own way as a global artist,» said González Nieves, who herself broke significant ground as a Latina woman in the traditionally male-dominated tequila industry.

For González Nieves, the partnership represents more than business expansion. «Having the opportunity to create a love letter in the name of a song that became a movement with an incredible global artist… and tell the Latin story together, was like an injection of adrenaline into our hearts,» she said.

The collaboration marks a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurial venture between two Latina visionaries, with Casa Dragones creating their debut cristalino expression specifically for this partnership.

The tequila takes its name from Karol G’s multiplatinum anthem «200 Copas,» which has garnered over 468 million YouTube views and become more than just a song—it’s a movement of celebration and connection.

Unlike many celebrity spirits partnerships, this project took years to develop, with Karol G working closely with the Casa Dragones team throughout the entire process. «I think I just found the right people to do this,» Karol G said, emphasizing that she wanted more than just a brand with her name attached.

200 Copas by Casa Dragones is crafted from añejo tequila aged over 12 months in custom American oak barrels before being filtered to achieve its crystal-clear cristalino appearance. Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in Tequila, Jalisco, it offers sweet floral and cooked agave notes with subtle citrus. Karol G calls it a true sipping tequila, though she’s partial to enjoying it in Palomas.

The tequila will debut during Karol G’s Paris residency at the legendary Crazy Horse, where she’ll raise the first official toast. Consumers can pre-order at 200copasbycasadragones.com, with the product launching October 1, 2025, in Mexico and the United States, followed by Colombia in 2026.

This collaboration stands out for its authenticity and the meaningful alliance between two Latina leaders who have broken barriers in their respective fields. For Karol G, this represents more than adding her name to a bottle—it’s about creating a legacy product that continues her mission of Latina empowerment while celebrating the same values of connection and celebration that define her musical career.

Ultimately, 200 Copas by Casa Dragones merges music, memory, and cultural pride, allowing fans to participate in both the celebration that inspired the original song and the broader movement of Latina entrepreneurial excellence.
