Description:
We are adding to our shop due to growth and in search of experienced counter top fabricators or experience carpenter who is looking to change fields. The fabrication team is responsible for all aspects of counter top manufacturing.
The fabricator is responsible to work in an assigned product area performing entry to mid-level countertop fabrication and assembly tasks. Typically, the work completed by a fabricator has already been started by a senior fabricator and they are performing a completion task for a countertop that has already been cut and laminated. They work as a team with lead fabricators to resolve any questions and ensure countertops are fabricated based on order specifications.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and understand countertop drawings, specifications and requirements (or ability and desire to learn)
- Countertop finishing including but not limited to build-ups, end caps, backsplash, filing, washing, marking, wrapping and handling of completed countertops
- Inspection and order verification prior to delivering countertops
- File order forms in appropriate bin locations and delivery countertops to general staging area for receiving team
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and re-stock any consumables materials needed
- Complete all tasks in a safe manner and in compliance with established work rules and processes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Use of fabrication shop tools including but not limited to all hand tools, miter and table saw operation and laminating tools
- Communication with senior fabricator and shop foreman regarding any questions or issues
- Flexibility to work in other shop areas as required or directed by shop foreman
- Ability to use basic material handling equipment
Physical Requirements
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Able to walk, bend, stand on even and uneven surfaces
- Ability to lift and/or pull 50+ lbs;
- Ability to operate a fork truck and other warehouse equipment safely
