Global reggaeton superstar KAROL G is leveraging her massive platform to champion women’s rights through her Con Cora Foundation’s latest initiative: “LATINA PWR for Leadership.” The 11-month program, launching this month in partnership with LatinoJustice PRLDEF, aims to cultivate the next generation of Latina leaders in America.
Despite her incredible success as one of Latin music’s biggest stars, KAROL G remains committed to fighting for women’s rights and empowerment. Her Con Cora Foundation has earned international recognition, including Billboard’s Spirit of Hope Award in 2023 and the recent Iberoamerican Impact Award. The foundation supports vulnerable women and girls across Latin America through comprehensive programs spanning education, mental health, sports, and advocacy—from partnerships with organizations like Glasswing International to sponsoring Formula 2 driver Tatiana Calderón.
The program targets a stark reality: while more than 22 million Latinas live in the United States, representing 17% of adult women, over 21% live in poverty. “Latina PWR is about recognizing the limitless potential of Latinas to transform their lives and their communities,” said Valentina Bueno, Executive Director of the Con Cora Foundation.
Running from September 2025 through July 2026 in New York, the program will support first-generation college students pursuing careers in law and community advocacy. Participants receive leadership training, mentorship, and “Know Your Rights” workshops to advocate for immigrant communities nationwide. The partnership with LatinoJustice PRLDEF, which has trained over 10,000 participants since 1972, brings decades of expertise to the initiative.
The program emphasizes creating a ripple effect: participants advance their careers while sharing knowledge within their communities, extending KAROL G’s mission of women’s empowerment from her Latin American roots to Latino communities across the United States.
