Mango’s in Miami, the party place for Bostonians.

By Alberto Vasallo, III

Boston and Miami. Two great American cities. Both are tourist destinations for people all around the world and both usually meet or surpass the expectations.

When you come to Boston, a visit to Fenway Park – America’s Most Beloved and historic Ballpark – needs to be on your list of must see. You don’t have to be a sports fan to appreciate the experience.

When you visit Miami, there is one place you cannot leave without seeing, or better yet – “experiencing”.

“Mango’s is an amazing phenomenon of culture, Latin culture, contemporary culture with a South Beach kind twist to it. We’re kind of the Tropicana of the United States,” explains David Wallack, owner and founder of Mango’s Tropical Café on Miami Beach’s famed Ocean Drive.

Drawing well over a million of visitors a year, Mango’s Tropical Café, has become a world famous South Beach landmark – and a place no Bostonian should ever leave South Florida without visiting.

“We love to welcome people from Boston all the time. They are always so excited to party and have a good time. I think the way we present the live dancers, the bands and the tropical environment is what they love the most”, says Alex Castro, an iconic Mango’s artist and performer.

The Miami Herald recently described it as a “nonstop barrage of colorful, Carnaval-style live entertainment that ranges from fiery flamenco dancing, belly dancing, hip-hop and odes to Michael Jackson and Celia Cruz”.

Truer words have never been spoken.

So, for my Boston peeps who are interested in the quintessential South Beach experience, Mango’s Tropical Café is truly a must-see option.

And if you are ready, let me know, I just might meet you there!

For a more visual review of Mango’s take a peek at my video from “Boston weekend in Miami” in 2019 when I was joined by a fun bunch of Bostonians and my friend, 2013 Miss Florida – Miss USA contestant Michelle Aguirre. Enjoy!
